Transfer Policy

Transfer to Al-Kawthar University is available only to candidates who have studied or are currently studying at HEC recognised universities. Transfer requests must be submitted at the time of admission. Candidates must meet all Al-Kawthar University’s admission requirements, including clearing any necessary entrance examinations or interviews. The Admission Review Committee (ARC) will evaluate each transfer application, ensuring it adheres to the standards set by the Higher Education Commission (HEC).

Credit Transfer Criteria

Candidates admitted through the credit transfer policy must adhere to the following terms and conditions:

  • 1.A minimum of 50% of total degree credits must be completed at Al-Kawthar University.
  • 2.Course credits will be considered for transfer if the course content closely aligns with that offered at Al-Kawthar University, to a minimum extent of 60% similarity.
  • 3.Applicants must have achieved a minimum CGPA of 2.5 upon the completion of their studies at their previous university.
  • 4.Transcripts from previous coursework, submitted to Al-Kawthar University's admission office, must be issued by a national or international recognised university or college accredited by the relevant Higher Education authority.
  • 5.Requests for course transfers must be submitted at the time of application.

Credit Transfer Process

  • 1. Applicants can apply for credit transfer by contacting the admission office and requesting the credit transfer application form.
  • 2. Upon receiving the completed application form, the Admission Review Committee (ARC) verifies transcripts, course outlines, and assesses completed courses for credit transfer eligibility.
  • 3. Applicants who meet the requirements proceed to a meeting with the Admission Counsellor to discuss the credit transfer procedure.
  • 4. Successful applicants are then required to take standard entrance examinations, interviews, or both before receiving admission offers.
