Aga Khan University Institute for Educational Development offers a series of graduate and other professional development programmes for teachers and other educators.
The Institute offers its programmes in cooperation with schools and a number of partner institutions (Aga Khan Education Services, NGOs and CBOs, and some public educational institutes). It has developed these programmes with assistance from its Partner Universities: University of Toronto and University of Oxford .
As part of its Phase II, AKU-IED has begun offering courses in the open learning mode. By having more choice of where, when and how to learn and by having the chance to obtain appropriate qualifications, teachers will be encouraged to continue acquiring professional knowledge and skills to build their careers.
